Batik Printing;
On one of my searches for inspiration I came across this fantastic idea. Batik is an ancient form of Javanese printing. The print blocks are made out of a series of nails banged into a block of solid wood an dipped in wax, which is then transferred using a pattern onto the fabric. The fabric is then dyed over and the wax acts as a resistant. The fabric is then boiled to get rid of the wax and any excess dye. Im really intrigued by this technique.
