Michael:

the surfer, the 'hours on end' gym junkie, the secret brain, the "Does that make sense?" guy, the best friend, the searcher,  the comedian

Belinda;

the Swede, the best cake maker in the world, the girl next door, the globe trotter, the always happy person, the girl with the really nice eyebrows, the housemate

Scoot;

the engineer, the guy who's always studying, the surfer, the supporter, the curry monster, the smartest person I know, my favourite person in the world

 Living proof that you can find inspiration in everything. It can be the smallest most insignificant thing.   Shot these on one of my walk's in the freezing cold morning in Victoria.

Batik Printing;

Batik Printing;
On one of my searches for inspiration I came across this fantastic idea. Batik is an ancient form of Javanese printing. The print blocks are made out of a series of nails banged into a block of solid wood an dipped in wax, which is then transferred using a pattern onto the fabric. The fabric is then dyed over and the wax acts as a resistant. The fabric is then boiled to get rid of the wax and any excess dye. Im really intrigued by this technique. It plays to all my strengths such as painting and dyeing, as apposed to embroidery which we all know I really do not have the patience for...

Sibella Court; interior stylist / product designer / historian / globetrotter & creative director

Sibella Court love;

So my boyfriends mum has me hooked on the most fantastic interior stylist / product designer / historian / globetrotter & creative director, Sibella Court.  She has been based in Sydney since 2008 after living and working in New York for over ten years. She is the award-winning author of books, ‘Etcetera etc’, ‘The Stylist’s Guide to NYC’, ‘Nomad’ and the 'Bowerbird' which is where this sick obsession all started (thanks Lynne!). She is also the owner of the store, The Society inc. in Sydney and product designer with a 110-colour paint range, nail polish, soap, candles and a hardware range. She spends her time exploring for inspiration across the globe in backstreets, markets & fairs discovering new artists, designers & products for her shop & commercial designs and holding workshops.

Sounds terrible really

nephelle swimwear; the update

nephelle swimwear; the update

It's all getting a bit real, but so exciting. The first summer range is still in the design stages but so many ideas I cant pick the few to make the cut. Business cards and logos have been finalised and the website is under construction.

Keep your eyes out for beautiful croched and cotton frilled bikinis, leather bags and embroidered kimonos.

Get amongst it people.
